Alberta addiction treatment succeeds with bed numbers up 4,000. Overdose deaths are down 50 per cent.

Alberta’s “hospitalizations and emergency department visits related to opioid addiction are at their lowest point since the start of the pandemic, and have decreased 39 per cent and 40 per cent respectively since peaking in late 2021.” -Global News.

BC fails. Police haven’t been charging for possession for about a decade; we already had ‘de facto’ decriminalization yet provincial overdoses, deaths are way up. The twenty-year experimental approach to addiction is evident in the misery on our streets.
